Hello! I’m Marcy – a runaway teacher fulfilling a promise I made to myself.
Thanks for visiting my little space on the internet! At the start of 2020, I left the UK for the first time to study abroad in Australia. Little did I know the pandemic would send me back only 2 months later. I made a promise to myself back then that I would come back to finish what I started, and I’ve finally made it!
During the five years it took me to get back here, I taught English for four years and squashed my dream of becoming a writer under piles of marking and lesson planning. Now I have the opportunity to step out from that pile of stress, I’m determined to do what I love.
So… here it is. Slightly unorganised rambles from a traveller who’s got way too much time on her hands. So feel free to join me as I log my travels around Australia and beyond, experience everything on offer and navigate living on a working holiday. It should be fun.
